Sharjah Equestrian Club hosts UAE Show Jumping League round
Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club will host the second week of the Emirates Longines Show Jumping League tomorrow, Saturday, which includes 10 competitions. The competitions, which will conclude the day after tomorrow, Sunday, will be held at the covered hall field, under the supervision of the Emirates Equestrian and Racing Federation, and sponsored by Longines, in cooperation with Sharjah Equestrian Club. The events will witness 5 rounds tomorrow, starting with the “ideal time” competition from one round for young jumping horses aged 4 years, and novice riders. The rest of the competitions will continue with the specifications of the two special stages, and the heights of the barriers range from (80-90) cm for four-year-old horses, up to a height of 135 cm, for the first-level riders category, and in between the heights that suit the rest of the categories, for horses aged 5 years on 105 cm barriers, cubs on 115 cm, horses aged 6 years and (juniors) and second-level riders on 120 cm barriers, and the youth category and first-level participant on a height of 125 cm. The events will begin The second day will be tomorrow, Sunday, with the ideal time competition for the 4-year-old and beginners categories at the same heights. The riders from the Cubs and Level 2 categories, and those at their level, will also compete in two two-stage competitions at the same heights as the first day’s hurdles.
The joint competition for the youth category and the first level is held according to the specifications of one round, on obstacles with a height of 130 cm.
The second week's competitions conclude with a single round, with a differentiation round, the course of which was designed with 140 cm high obstacles.
